Danae Bolero


I have designed and knit this little Bolero for my daughter. When I saw the yarn I could not aviod think of buying something to knit for her. I must confess that I appreciate much more the yarn than the drawing. The yarn that forms the colors are just the beginning to knit.

Size 3 years
Approx. measurements 10 5/8 (wide), 8 5/8 (high).
3/4 Sleeve.


Materials
• 100% Cotton (approx. 150 grams - 5 1/2 Oz.)
• US 7 (4 1/2 mm) knitting needles
• Wool needles

Gauge
20 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch

Abbreviations
K - Knit
P - Purl
SKP - slip1, knit1, pass the slipped stitch over.
K2tog – knit two stitches together as one.
SSK - Slip1, Slip1, knit 2 slipped stitches tog.


Ribbing 2x2
Row 1: *K2, P2* repeat to end.
Row 2: *P2, K2* repeat to end.

Sweet Pistacho

Spanish Version

Size: 2 years.


Materials: Any wool to give correct gauge. Work with two colours, A and B.
Needle size 10 US (6mm)
Seed stitch, Stockinette Stitch, 1x1 Ribbing, Colorwork.

Gauge:
In Stockinette Stitch: 17 sts and 22 rows= 4x4''

Abbreviations:
MC: Main Color (light green)
CC: Contrast Color (dark green)
k: knit.
p: purl
st/sts: stitch/es
St. St.: Stockinette Stitch
rem: remaining
rep: repeat

Seed Stitch:
Row 1: K1, P1, rep to end
Row 2: P1, K1, rep to end
Repeat these 2 rows.

Stockinette Stitch:
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Repeat these 2 rows.

Colorwork:
row 1: Join a new colour (CC). k all.
row 2: k all
row 3: continue working in MC. *k2, slip 1* Repeat from*.
row 4: p sts in MC, slip again sts in CC
row 5: k all
row 6: k all
row 7: continue working in CC. *k2, slip 1* Repeat from*.
row 8: p sts in CC, slip again sts in MC
row 9: k all
Repeat rows 2-9.

BACK:
Cast on 56 sts in MC.
Work 8 rows in Seed stitch. Then, on right side of piece, work St. St., decreasing at each edge 1 st. 3 times every 12 rows. When back measures 8 1/4'' on right side of piece continue in colorwork pattern until back measures 9 1/2'' .

Armholes:
When back measures 9 1/2'', decrease at each edge on each right side row 1 st: 14 times. When back measures 13 3/8'' bind off rem 22 sts for neckline shaping.

FRONT:
Work same as back except for neckline.
Work armholes and neckline at the same time. When front measures 12 1/4'' on next right side row, bind off center 16 sts and work each side separately, binding off at neck edge every 2 rows: 2 sts 1 time, 1 sts 1 time.
Work other side the same, reversing shaping.

SLEEVES:
Cast on 36 sts in CC. Work 8 rows in Seed stitch. Then, on right side of piece, work St.St, decreasing at each edge on each right side row 1 st 14 times. Bind off rem 8 sts.

FINISHING:
Sew 3 of 4 raglan seams.
Neckband:
Pick up 65 sts around neckline, work 4 rows in 1x1 ribbing. Bind off.
Sew last raglan seam and neckband, side and sleeve seams.

Scarf in Brioche Stitch

Supplies:
- 2 skein Nube soft 4/7 (100% Acrylic, 100g/178 yards).
Note: I used about 200g of a yarn called Nube Soft, which is only
available in Argentina, but you can use any Variegated Wool yarn by needle size 7 US (4.5mm) or 8 US (5mm)
- US 11 (8 mm) knitting needles (make a nice fluffy fabric).

Abbreviations:
CO: cast on.
k: knit.
k-b: knit stitch in row below.
BO: bind off.

Gauge:
Not vital-approximately 13 sts=4" in the same stitch.

Pattern:
Follow these simple knitting instructions and easy knitting pattern to make your scarf.

Row 1: k all.
Row 2: *k1, k-b1*, rep from *
Repeat last row until desired length.
BO.
Finished measurements: 62 inches long and 5,5 inches wide.
